What I have noticed that the FM amount I dial in on the Micron does not correlate directly with the modulator level that you input into FM8.Р”Р‡or example, I was copying an xylophone sound - a simple FM8 patch with a raw sine wave together with an FM component of a single modulator (ratio = 14) and carrier (ratio = 4). There is an FM option on the synth and I thought I would try and copy some simple FM8 patches to see how the sound compares. I have been trying to get to know my Alesis Micron synth a bit better and have been working through a number of standard patches to get a feel for what it can do. I know you lot are a clever bunch so perhaps you can shed a light on this for me!
